Entry Fees

Deadlines Rates
Marketing/Promotion & Design Final — October 7 $95 per entry
Individual Achievement Final — October 7 $95 per entry
Million Dollar Circle Awards Final — November 1 $35 per submission

You will have the opportunity to retrieve your submitted entries up until midnight of November 1 using the same login username and password. Individual Achievement and Marketing & Promotion entries will only be able to be edited up until midnight of October 11.

Nominee Video Instructions

For Individual Achievement Awards, your interview will be included as a part of the entry submission process. Please use the following instructions of how to upload and create a shareable link to submit your interview video.

Entry Rules

Sub-Categories for Marketing/Promotion Categories: Builder, Developer, Associate, and Agency.

For Builder / Developer: Materials are developed in-house.

Specifically for Agency: If materials are developed by an agency they fall under the agency category but can be presented as XYZ Builder created by DFD Agency.

  • To be eligible all marketing projects and sales must be within the TBBA coverage area
  • Company, product or campaign must have been in use between September 1, 2023—August 31, 2024. All submitting companies must be members of the TBBA Sales & Marketing Council.
  • All artwork and photographs must be submitted electronically in PDF, JPEG or TIF formats. The system will not accept WORD documents
  • In any relevant sales categories, the sales price is taken from the FINAL closing price and will be verified.
  • All individual achievement submissions are considered ‘pending’ until the nominee has submitted their nomination form – submission process outlined below
  • Categories that receive only 1 entry will still need to meet a minimum score to be eligible to receive award

  3. At least one employee of submitting company must be a member of the TBBA Sales & Marketing Council
  4. Marketing Statement (Max 250 words)

Submission/Judging Process -
  1. Submission form on TampaAOE.com must be completed in full by midnight on final posted deadline date
  2. The Submission will be judged by a collection of unbiased judges based on: Originality, Clarity of Message, Concept and Execution
  3. Winners will be announced at the Awards of Excellence Banquet

Million Dollar Circle

New Home Sales Professional Achievement Award – Individual or Team

Submission Requirements -
  1. Proof of closing volume and units at a minimum of one million dollars. An internal closing report dated September 1, 2023 through August 31, 2024 signed by the builder/broker and comptroller (or equivalent financial officer) will be required with each entry
  2. Closing volume and units amount.
  3. Submitting company must be a member of the TBBA AND Recipient MUST be a member of the Sales and Marketing Council of the TBBA.
  4. Complete your online submission form and submit art work, photographs and materials at www.TampaAOE.com.

Submission Process -
  1. Submission form on TampaAOE.com must be completed in full by midnight on final posted deadline date
  2. All submitted recipients will be announced at the Awards of Excellence Banquet

PLEASE NOTE: Platinum, Gold, Silver and Bronze levels will be determined based on entries received. Top producers will be determined from the highest Million Dollar Circle Award entries. No additional entry required.

Design Categories

These categories are open to submission by both builders and designers, and should be commissioned by a builder. Individual entries are required per square footage or product category. No limit to number of entries.

Submissions Groupings -
  1. Townhomes, Villas, Multi-Family
  2. Up to 1,999 sq. ft. living area
  3. 2,000 - 2,999 sq. ft. living area
  4. 3,000 - 3,999 sq. ft. living area
  5. 4,000+ sq. ft. living area

Submission Requirement General Overview -

  1. Cost per square foot. Invoice may be requested for verification. - Only required for applicable categories
  2. One (1) floorplan showing exact furnishing layout.
  3. One (1) set of six (6) color photographs
  4. Link to a virtual tour can be submitted

  2. The Submission will be judged by a collection of unbiased judges

Submission Requirement General Overview -
Provided by submitting manager:
  1. Proof of Volume and Units Sold/Closed - If applicable to category, refer to full list of requirements
  2. Contact information for Nominee
  3. Reason for nominating individual and any circumstances that should be considered

Provided by nominee:
  1. Video statement (45 - 60 seconds) – Instructions will be sent to nominee

Submission/Judging Process -
  1. Nomination form on TampaAOE.com must be completed in full by midnight on final posted deadline date
  2. TBBA will reach directly out to Nominee to complete online submission form during posted dates including video *No in-person interview will be required
  3. The Submission will be judged by a collection of unbiased judges based on: Professional Demeanor, Sales Results, Approach/Technique, and Overall Accomplishment
  4. Winners will be announced at the Awards of Excellence Banquet

Golden Hammer Appreciation Award (Superintendent)
This award recognizes the company or individual involved in the construction process who has displayed excellent service to your organization over the last year. There is no entry fee for this category and all nominees will be recognized.

    Submission Requirements -
    1. In 100 words or less, please describe why this person or company deserves to be recognized.
    2. One (1) digital color photo of candidate submitted electronically.
    3. Must be nominated by a Builder Member
    4. Complete your online entry form and submit art work, photographs and materials at www.TampaAOE.com.

    Community of the Year

    Submission Requirement General Overview -

    1. Submit a minimum of five (5) and maximum of ten (10) images of project showing entrance, community facilities, signage, car-to-people access, etc.
    2. Marketing Statement (maximum 250 words)

    2. The Submission will be judged by a collection of unbiased judges
    3. Winners will be announced at the Awards of Excellence Banquet

    Publishing Rights of Materials

    All entries become the property of the Tampa Bay Builders Association (TBBA), and their return is not guaranteed. TBBA may publish and/or reproduce entries in any NAHB, FHBA, or TBBA publication and/or product as well as grant permission for entries to be published or reproduced in any trade or consumer publication and/or product.

    Membership Requirements

    Marketing, Design and Individual Achievement Awards entries require membership in the TBBA Sales & Marketing Council. Marketing and Merchandising require that the submitting company must hold a current SMC membership through a company employee. Individual Achievement entrants must personally hold a current membership. PLEASE NOTE MEMBERSHIP REQUIREMENT CHANGE: ALL Million Dollar Circle entrants MUST personally be a SMC Member of the Tampa Bay Builders Association. Please contact Lauren Morgan, Executive Vice President, at lauren@tbba.net if you need membership information.<

    Please have all your submittal materials ready when you go to submit your entries if possible. You will, however, be able to submit an entry and then retrieve it at a later time for editing by using your email address and a password you will set up when submitting your first entry. You will also use that same log-in to submit additional entries.

    You do not have to submit payment with your entry online, you will be contacted by TBBA for payment.
